The kidneys - guardians of your pet's health

The kidneys are among the most important "employees" in the body of your furry nose. As true detoxification specialists, they ensure that harmful substances are removed from the blood and excreted through the urine. Medications, environmental toxins and other harmful substances are filtered and flushed out of the body. But this is by no means the only function of the kidneys.

Tirelessly in action and little noticed

The kidneys are involved in the adjustment of blood pressure, they are essentially responsible for the production of hormones such as EPO for the formation of red blood cells - and they regulate the acid-base balance as well as the mineral balance of the blood. Even the energy metabolism of our animals is influenced by the kidneys. We often only realize how important they are when their function is impaired and the vet sounds the alarm. But it doesn't have to come to that.

Kidney power - appreciation for an important organ

Nature provides many good herbs to support your pet's kidneys. We have selected five valuable herbs for our kidney power mixture, which complement each other optimally from a naturopathic point of view.

These are:

Orthosiphon
The flower of this exciting plant is somewhat reminiscent of whiskers, which is why it is also called cat's whiskers. It contains sapophonin, essential oils and flavonoids.

Field Horsetail
Field horsetail is known for its high silica content of up to 10%. It also contains phenolic acids, phytosterols and triterpenic acid in addition to precious flavonoids.

Closing grass root
Many dogs instinctively like to eat couch grass by the wayside - another name for the closing grass root. As if they knew what is in it: carbohydrates, mucilage, saponins, mineral salts, silica, as well as iron, vitamins A and B.

Birch leaves
Birch leaves provide, among others, flavonoids, phenolic carboxylic acids, triterpene esters and tannins.

Parsley powder
Parsley has an influence on the PH value of urine. It contains precious essential oils, flavonoids, furanocoumarin, tannic acid, glycosides, salicylates and thymol, as well as small amounts of vitamins and trace elements.

Dosage recommendation - this is how Nierenkraft is used:

Body weight and daily dosage

up to 10kg 1ML

from 10kg 2ML

from 30kg 3ML

from 60kg 4ML

1measuring spoon (ML) = 1g

The appropriate amount may be divided into two meals. Add the powder to the feed. Recommended duration of use: 2-6 weeks, corresponds to approx. 1 glass.

Note

Do not exceed the specified daily intake. Keep closed, cool, dry, protected from light and out of reach of small children.

If your dog suffers from renal insufficiency (NI), please do not add Nierenkraft without veterinary supervision!
