True lungwort (Pulmonaria officinalis) is also known as lungwort in English. Other common names are brookweed, lungwort, lung tea, Stag's cabbage or also Cowslip. The plant contains saponins, mucilage polysaccharides, tannins and silica.

Icelandic moss (Cetraria islandica) is botanically not a moss, but a lichen. Lichens represent a morphological unit of fungus and alga, which live together in a symbiosis. As characteristic components, the lichen contains bitter substances, lichen acids, iodine and mucilage.

N-acetyl-L-cysteine (NAC) is a closely related compound of the sulfur-containing amino acid L-cysteine or, in other words, its stabilized form. L-cysteine is a semi-essential amino acid that can be produced in your body, but not in sufficient amounts.
