Urinary status is the routine examination of the urine composition for the clarification of urinary tract diseases and diseases superordinate to the urinary tract (liver, kidney or metabolic diseases).

Urinary sediment is the solid component of urine and consists, among other things, of red and white blood cells, cells from the bladder and urinary tract.
In the sediment, larger urine components such as cells or crystals are detected and assessed microscopically.

A change in the composition of the sediment provides important clues to possible urinary tract disease.

When to perform a urinary status examination:

Procedure and implementation

1. You will receive everything you need for the test, i.e. the complete shipping material to the laboratory.
2. You fill the urethra with 5 ml of urine from your quadruped.
3. You fill in the form you receive.
4. You send the tube and the completed form to the laboratory in the enclosed envelope.
5. After approx. 2-3 weeks you will receive the laboratory result, the evaluation as well as recommendations and a shopping list, prepared by our animal healers. In addition, we offer you the opportunity to be advised again personally by a therapist.
