The coat mineral screen - meaningful mineral analysis
Just like hooves or claws, the coat also holds long-term information about various storage values of the body, such as minerals, trace elements, but also toxins and heavy metals.
Pet owners often contact us when their animals are not doing well, even though blood, urine or fecal tests are unremarkable. Here it is obvious that the mineral balance of the animal could be disturbed, because if only one tiny building block is missing in the body, the entire metabolism may no longer function properly.
Stored toxins or heavy metals can also lead to serious disorders such as altered intestinal flora. Here, even the best nutrients can be fed - the animal still does not absorb them. Through the Coat Mineral Screen we now have the possibility to have these changes measured in the laboratory and then take targeted action against them.
We work closely with our laboratory partner VETSCREEN, who with over 20 years of experience offer exclusive laboratory diagnostics for veterinary practitioners. In addition, you will receive concrete recommendations from our veterinary practitionersto support the digestion of your furry nose in a natural way.
In this video you will find out to what extent the coat mineral screen could be useful for your pet:

- for coat or skin problems
- for barfed animals
- For allergies
- for disorders of the musculoskeletal system
- in case of excessive eating of feces or grass
- for chronic or recurring infections or for fungal diseases
- for precaution
This is what you get from Vetscreen & Waldkraft:
- a meaningful laboratory analysis
- Recommendations from our veterinary practitioners regarding feeding problems, mineral balance, metabolic problems and heavy metal contamination.
- a practical shopping aid for any feed that may be needed
Procedure and implementation
- You will receive everything you need for the test, i.e. the complete shipping material to the laboratory.
- In the bag you receive, add 0.5 grams of fur, which is about 2 well heaped tablespoons (no tail or mane). Please cut along the body skin, no hair roots are needed. It is best to do this in areas where there is little licking such as the nape of the neck. Please make sure that the coat sample is not dirty. Also make sure that you do not use any grooming products and/or shampoo on your pet for at least 14 days beforehand.
- You fill in the form you receive.
- You send the bag and the completed form to the lab in the enclosed envelope.
- After approx. 2 - 3 weeks you will receive the laboratory result, the evaluation as well as recommendations and a shopping list, prepared by our animal healers. In addition, we offer you the opportunity to be advised again personally by a therapist.
Note on postage costs:
Return shipping of samples within Germany is included.
For orders from abroad, please note that the additional postage costs may vary. This is due to the veterinary labeling of the laboratory test, by which your package is treated with special care during shipping.
