Barley is the oldest cereal in human history and, like all true cereals, belongs to the sweet grass family. Barley grass is harvested at the slightly older seedling stage, i.e. it has not yet formed the ears that make this crop so distinctive thanks to its long, sharp awns. Without grains, the tender barley grass is gluten-free. 

Barley grass juice powder: drying at low temperatures

BioActive Dehydration", developed back in 1999, is a particularly gentle drying process at low temperatures (below 41°C) that does not cause any thermal degradation of the valuable nutrients. Spray drying is a rapid evaporation process based on the evaporation of tiny droplets in the tempered air. Barley grass juice is used as the spray material, which becomes a powder during atomized drying. BioActive dehydration is divided into three steps:

• Barley grass juice is atomized into small droplets
• the droplets dry in the tempered air stream
• the dry particles are separated from the drying air

Consumption recommendation

The recommended portion (daily dose) for an adult is 3 scoops (2.7 g). Take the powder daily 30 minutes before a meal. Stir the powder into water or plant milk.
